What is a zine?

This zine features the ship Dr. Ratio x Aventurine from the game Honkai: Star Rail by Hoyoverse. The content features these two characters in a romantic (or pre-romantic) relationship in various alternate universes within the universe of the game or outside of it.Who can apply?
Interested applicants must be 18 and older as of June 1st, 2026.Do I need prior experience?
No, we do not ask for prior experience working in zines! However, having some basic knowledge of how zines work is recommended, either by asking mutuals or reading up on them!How many positions can I apply for?
You may apply both as an artist and a writer, though you will only be accepted for one role.What is expected from Contributors?
Contributors are expected to create 1 piece for the zine as per their role! Along with that, we expect good communication with the moderators, professional behavior within the zine server, and will not accept any work made using generative AI.Is this zine free, for-profit, or for-charity?
The zine is intended to be for-profit.How will contributors be compensated?
Funds have been set aside to compensate contributors in case the zine is cancelled. However, contributors will be offered a full set of both SFW and NSFW zines as well as all tiers of merch, and any additional profits above the value of the zine merch will be sent via Venmo or PayPal.My question isn't here!

Please follow the following guidelines to ensure the smooth production of the zine!Artist Guidelines
Page Art: 6in x 9in (15.2 cm × 22.9 cm) / 300dpi, portrait orientation featuring both characters with a background (however minimal).
Two page spreads are allowed.
Finished file format: PNG, PSD (1 layer) or JPGWriter Guidelines
3,000 to 5,000 word count, sans serif font, 10pt space between paragraphs.
Google Docs or Ellipsus is preferred method of sharing drafts.Merch Guidelines
Dimensions differ based on the artist's chosen merch, which will be finalized and announced on our socials! However, regardless of dimensions, artwork must be 300dpi.
